Mondo Tees has this cool set of “The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly” movie posters by Billy Perkins for sale. You can either buy all 3 of the posters for $45 or each one individually for $20. They also have a few other new movie posters of Sergio Leone movies for sale as well. You can view them all at Mondo Tees.
Another amazing movie poster from Tyler Stout. I own a couple of his movie posters. They are absolutely huge ( 24″ x 36″ ), printed on thick high quality paper, and cheap. You can’t beat that.
The Alamo Drafthouse in Austin, TX is having a big screen sci-fi classics series this year and this is the poster for the showing of King Kong. It’s by Wes Winship of Burlesque Studios. The poster is a huge 26″ x 40″ and is only $30.
I’ve been waiting for this print to go on sale for awhile now. It’s for the awesome documentary King of Kong about the battle for the all time Donkey Kong high score. I highly recommend it if you’ve not seen it yet. The artist of this print is Scott Campbell. The print is 18″ x 24″ and is only $20($25 for a signed copy).
wow, I think I’m in love. Tyler Stout makes the greatest movie posters. I have his Lost Boys one, and I just purchased this one too. Big Trouble in Little China is one of my favorite 80s movies. This poster is 24″ x 36″ in size and is limited to 50. You can also purchase them at Mondo Tees for the same price, but I would recommend buying directly from Tyler. Mondo Tees also has a glow in the dark variant of this poster that’s $65. It’s extremely limited though and will probably be sold out by the time you’re reading this.
This print by Stella Im Hultberg is from Gallery 1988’s recent Crazy4Cult show. It’s based off “Marla” from the movie “Fight Club”, which I’m sure most of you have seen. The print is 12″ x 16″ and is a limited edition of 150. It goes on sale Tuesday, November 20th at noon(PST I believe). You have to actually call them to buy it. The phone number and additional information about the print can be found on the Crazy4Cult page.
If you’re a fan of cult movies, this poster by Tyler Stout is a must buy. I’ve actually written about this poster a year ago, but this is a new edition, since the Drafthouse moved locations, with over 30 differences and additions. I own the 1st version and it’s one of my favorite posters. It’s absolutely huge(24″ x 36″) and it’s so detailed. You could easily spend an hour just trying to find all the characters and figure out the movies they are from. Here is a larger version of the image.
I’ve always been a fan of this painting by Brandon Bird. It was originally a commission for the owner of Something Awful. The print is 22″ x 14″ and is limited to just 30 copies. You can purchase it here.
I also noticed that Brandon is selling “Jumbo Prints” of a lot of his art now. He’s got a lot of really great stuff for sale.
There’s an update over on the Gallery 1988 Blog about the next Crazy4Cult print that’s going up for sale soon. It’s part 2 of the amazing “Showdowns” series by Scott Campbell. I’m not sure when they are going on sale or the price(the 1st set was $60), but I do know they will sell out extremely fast. Keep checking that Crazy4Cult Page. That Goonies one is worth the price alone.
Update : They are for sale now. You can buy the prints at Crazy4Cult.
Gallery 1988 has a show going on right now called Crazy 4 Cult which is all cult-movie themed art. They are selling a different limited edition print from the show each month. The current print available is the one pictured above called “Ed’s Losing” by Greg Simkins. This print is 16″ x 20″ and is $100. The site says there’s only 11 remaining though, so quite possibly by the time you read this they might be sold out.
Wow! What an amazing print from Tyler Stout for sale over at Mondo Tees. The Lost Boys is one of my favorite 80s flicks. A classic. This poster is for the Alamo Drafthouse’s Rolling Roadshow which is showing The Lost Boys at the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk, where parts of the movie were filmed. If you’re in that area I highly recommend checking it out.
I wish I had a giant AT AT to ride around on when I was a kid. This print by Casey Weldon is 11″ x 14″ and is only $20. He has a few other prints for sale as well on his website.
Tyler Stout is one of my favorite artists. I have a few of his prints hanging on my walls. This particular one is for the Alamo Drafthouse’s Hot Fuzztival. You can buy it over at Mondo Tees. There are only 3 left, so if you’re reading this, you better buy it now.
If this looks like a scene out of Star Wars, that’s because it is! It’s the final duel between Anakin and Obi-Wan Kenobi that took place in Episode III: Revenge of the Sith. This particular print is by Ryan Church, who did concept art for Episode III. The print is 15.5″ x 36″ and is a limited edition of just 95. It’s $475 and you can purchase it here.
I never watched Buffy the Vampire Slayer, but I know a lot of people who did. There are two versions of this poster. The one pictured above is the variant version that’s $25. There’s also a non-variant version that’s onlly $20. The artist who did these, Jason Goad, is one of my favorites. He has a ton of other posters for sale at his site.
Fleet Street Scandal has their November art print up for sale. It’s another faux movie poster, and it’s quite awesome. You can but it here. They have a lot of other really good art prints for sale as well.
Fleet Street Scandal has a new art print, Attack of the Odontotyrannus by Kevin Dart, for sale. I am willing to bet if it was made into a real movie, it would be one of the greatest of all time.
You can buy this from Fleet Street Scandal. They have a ton of other amazing prints as well.
Black Cat Bones has a completely awesome(here I go with that word again) movie poster for sale. At first I thought it was a fake movie, but with a little bit of google’s help, I determined that it’s real. It’s for a 1974 movie called Thriller - en grym film(They Call Her One Eye). The tagline at imdb is “The first film, ever, to be banned in Sweden!” so I’m pretty sure it has to be a good movie. Anyways, the print is a must-buy.
It’s 20 euros, which I think is like $25 american dollars. You can buy it from the Black Cat Bones site. Just click on the language of your choice, then click on “Shop” at the bottom of the page. They have a bunch of other cool movie-type prints for sale, but this one was by far my favorite.
I’m not sure if I just overlooked this one before, but I swear I did not see it on Mondo Tees the last time I was there. Tyler Stout does some amazing work.
You can buy it here at Mondo Tees.
Mondo Tees is selling an Escape From Alcatraz print by Stainboy for the Netflix Rolling Roadshow.
Mondo Tees has a lot of other cool movie-related prints for sale.
I just noticed Mondo Tees has prints for the Alamo Drafthouse’s Fantastic Fest 2006. I love the little ninja stabbing the tentacle. You really can’t go wrong with zombies, ninjas, and aliens.
You can buy them here.
This print has been available for awhile, but I think it’s still worth mentioning because it’s so completely awesome. The Alamo Drafthouse is a chain of movie theaters in Austin, TX that sell food, beer, and wine. They also tend to have really cool events and show hard to find movies. If I can’t watch a movie at the Drafthouse, then I’m not going to see it, simple as that.
So anyways, they are doing a fund raiser to keep the downtown location open, and they got Tyler Stout create a print to sell for it. Check out how awesome this is. You could stare at it for hour and still find stuff you have not seen before. It’s a huge 24×36 print, and it’s only $30. You really can’t beat that. There was also a metallic ink version that was $100 and was very limited in numbers, but it looks like it already sold out.
You can buy it from Mondo Tees.
